Potential Orders of the Tribunal

The Tribunal may make an Order as set out in Article 51 of the Solicitors (Northern Ireland) Order 1976.

In particular the Tribunal may order:

: A copy of the Order made by the Tribunal is filed with the Secretary of the Law Society of Northern Ireland pursuant to Article 54(1) of the Solicitors (Northern Ireland) Order 1976 as amended.
Currently, Orders of the Tribunal are not published. However, a synopsis of the decision made by the Tribunal may be presented in anonymised form in the Annual Review which is produced by the Law Society. It is important to note that if a solicitor is removed from the Roll of Solicitors by Order of the Tribunal, the synopsis will not however be anonymised. Further, in the event that an order to strike off is made by the Tribunal, a notice will be placed in the Belfast Gazette notifying the profession and the general public of the order.
