Potential Orders of the Tribunal

The Tribunal may make an Order as set out in Article 51 of the Solicitors (Northern Ireland) Order 1976. 

In particular the Tribunal may order:

  1. The dismissal of the application or complaint;
  2. Admonishment and/or fine (up to £3,000.00);
  3. Imposition or removal of practice restrictions;
  4. Suspension or termination of suspension from practice;
  5. Strike off or reinstatement to the Roll of Solicitors.;
  6. the termination of the solicitor’s exclusion from legal aid work;
  7. Orders for payment of costs;
  8. Orders for restitution or satisfaction.
